Hi, I’m April Cannon…

I want to tell YOUR story! Every family is unique and deserves to have their life documented in a timeless way.! A family is like my favorite piece of wood furniture. It is the individual grain that makes it uniquely mine. What is your family’s grain? What “imperfections” make your family perfect? I want to photograph and visually tell THAT story!

I became a photographer when I was 6 years old and opened my first family album with my parents. We lived away from all our family and I just poured over the pictures of my extended family. I lingered over the stories my parents told of this family I had never met and marveled over the emotion some photos invoked. I received my first camera when I was 10 years old. I saved my allowance to develop the film and enjoyed organizing all the photos into albums. My love and passion for the emotion of photography grew from there.

Running Mom Photography LLC was born in June 2015. I am a physical therapist as well as a photographer. I love putting people at ease that I’m working with. I look at each interaction as a collaboration not a dictatorship. My husband and I tried for 12 years to have children. We had given up, then - wow - blessed with our two sweeties! Because we waited so long for children, we really know the value of family. I love to show that value in the families I photograph.

I love meeting new families and new people. I come to a session ready to play and have fun with you and your kiddos. I always want my clients both big and small to leave with smiles on their faces and positive experiences!

Why Running Mom? Two reasons:

1. I have loved running since I was 8 years old and it got me through a lot in my life.

2. As a Mom I am always on the run!

Thus Running Mom Photography LLC has been born! I have been very blessed by the Lord, family and friends in this endeavor!

I consider myself a creative, simple and emotive photographer. I love to observe the human condition and make it glow! I look forward to meeting all my new clients!

Blessings,

April
